Rocky Mountain Rory
Male, born 10/1998

rory12.jpg

Rory is a Classic* llama and a wonderful packer.  He is not a very tall llama, but he has a lot of heart.  He has packed with us for five years, done volunteer work with the Wildlands Resoration Volunteers, and earned ribbons in performance classes at the Estes Park Wool Market Llama Show.  For the last two years (2007 and 2008) he won the Short Stack packing class in team with Blizzard and Cody.

Rocky Mountain Rowdy
male, born 5/1998

Rowdy is another Classic llama.  He is also a great packer, who will follow us anywhere.  He has done volunteer work with WRV, and has won ribbons in Novice performance at Estes.

Bodacious Blizzard
male, born 3/2002

Blizzard came to us at age one, having never been handled.  With advice from venerable llama trainer Bobra Goldsmith, Cody worked with Blizzard and he has become a terrific packer, WRV helper, part of the first place Short Stack team two years running, and twice Reserve Champion in Novice Performance at the Estes Park Wool Market Llama Show.  If Blizzard had a classic llama's double coat, he would be perfect. As it is, he is close enough for us.

"Classic" describes coat type: double coat, meaning coarse outer guard hair with short softer wool underneath that can be brushed out.  Classic llamas have short hair on their head and legs. See Rory's handsome face, right.
